Under the direction of the Summer Camp Director and Retreats Director, the Camper Services Director is responsible for the operation of the camp store and all of the financial transactions that are involved with its operation

  • Assists in making orders of merchandise and vending items for the camp store.  Responsible for inventory control of all vending & mrchandise items in camp store.
  • Makes order as needed with assistance from the Summer Camp Director or Retreats Director to assure adequate supply is on hand
  • Responsible for the books and all transactions that take place in teh camp store.
  • Supervises staff working in the store and assures that procedures are followed.
  • Manages all incoming camper mail.
  • Chairs a committee to schedule one special day and one world service activity.
  • Assists in other activities as needed.
  • Cleans the store and keeps it free from debris and clutter.
  • May supervise campers in their living area in the evening and overnight. Creates and maintains a harmonious, positive working relationship with fellow staff, campers, and participants.
  • May supervise a cabin of LIT/CITs and must be flexible if assistance is needed in a cabin or other camp areas.

Requirements

  • Must possess strong accounting, computer, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Must be responsible for several budget line items and be organized in record keeping on computer and hard copies, as well.
  • Enjoys working and interacting with people of all types and ages, with a special emphasis on children, modeling and utilizing the important core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

Schedule

Seasonal position:  Early June – Late August
