Starting September 21st, 2020, the Stoney Point YMCA is offering care and supervision during the day for middle school students that need assistance with virtual learning. There will be a dedicated YMCA staff member from 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM each day Monday through Friday. The staff member will help students stay on task, stay logged in, and offer assistance with school work.
You must apply and be approved for this service (not a drop-in program). Students must be signed out by a parent at the end of each day. This is not a free service – the YMCA is able to accept DHS subsidy.
If you are interested in hearing more about the opportunity or wish to request signing up, you may contact Tanisha Phelps, Director of Child Services, at (319) 366 6421 ext 102 or at Phelps@crmetroymca.org. Space is limited!
