Heritage Club, Long-Term, and Memorial Gifts
The Heritage Club is designed to allow donors to make long term gifts, providing the YMCA with a stable financial base with greater growth potential. Gift options can include will bequests; naming the YMCA as an insurance beneficiary; charitable trusts or annuities; and outright gifts.
A commitment to the Heritage Club is the greatest statement of support to the mission of the YMCA that a friend of the Y can make. The YMCA of the Cedar Rapids Metropolitan Area is committed to strengthening the spirit, mind and body of children and families within our community. One of the most influential means of realizing this commitment is made possible by donors who belong to the Heritage Club.
Are you 70 or Older? The Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 allows people aged 70 and older the opportunity to make gifts directly from their IRA to a qualified charity such as the YMCA. The long-awaited extension of the Charitable IRA Rollover provision of the Pension Protection Act will make giving IRA assets to your favorite charity easier than ever and with no adverse tax consequences to you. If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please contact Bob Carlson at (319) 366-6421.
Consult with your financial planner to develop the best way for you to leave your legacy with a gift that accomplishes your philanthropic passion and provides a truly meaningful return.
Gifts to the YMCA in honor or in memory of loved ones provide a living remembrance for generations to come. Honorary gifts may be given to celebrate anniversaries, birthdays, graduations, holidays, and other special occasions. Memorial gifts may also be given as a way to remember someone special.
