Adventure Guides & Adventure Expeditions

Adventure Guides Tackle the Burma Bridge!Forming Bonds

Both the Adventure Guides and Adventure Expeditions programs focus on the parent’s roll in the lives of their children including building confidence, forming bods, and creating lifelong memories.    The example the parents lead through fun games or activities parallels the example parents set for children on their path through life.  In the early years of a child’s life, the Adventure Guides (AK-3 grades) begins as a side by side journey for parent and child.
As the child grows, Adventure Expeditions (4th Grade and higher) launch into more advanced, independent activities supported by the parents.

Investing The Time Is Worth It!

Throughout the school year Guides and Expeditions meet in small groups twice a month with one large all group activity each month.  The large group activities may include a sledding party, carnival, derby car race, sporting events, and a Wapsie Campout. (Attending activities is not mandatory.)

Learning Responsibility

With all this fun, there is still time to learn social responsibility. During the Wapsie Campout, each group collects non-perishable foods to donate to the Marion Food Bank.

Adventure Guides Circle of Fathers and Daughters

One of the groups in the spring collected just under 800 items to donate.
