Family Time at the YMCA provides recreational and social interaction opportunities for families to spend time together away from home in a fun and safe environment! The goal of Family Time is to strengthen the family unit, regardless of its composition. Times are available at each Cedar Rapids/Marion branch for families to enjoy time in the pool or gym. Tae Kwon Do is a fitness activity that can be enjoyed by adults and children, as young as 5! In the winter, the Helen G. Nassif offers Winter Family Track Time for families to safely exercise away from the snow and ice. Family Fun Nights are scheduled throughout the year and rotated at the various branches. During these evening events, families can swim and play in the gym, and enjoy drinks and snacks that are provided. The cost is nominal. Family events, from Easter Egg Hunts to decorating Christmas cookies are also scheduled throughout the year.
