Tae Kwon Do

All aspects of Tae Kwon Do are covered including basic techniques, forms, self-defense, sparring and power development. This class will help students improve flexibility and conditioning, develop self-control and discipline, and encourage respect and friendship. Tae Kwon Do is an excellent way to build confidence and make new friends. Great for individuals and families. Unless otherwise specified, session dates run the same as regular YMCA sessions.

Helen G. Nassif YMCA 
Ages 5 and up

Instructors Kevin Koenighain (3rd Dan Black Belt), Santana Segriff (3rd Dan Black Belt) Brett Osborn (2nd Dan Black Belt), and Mark Andersland (2nd Dan Black Belt).
Days and Times: 
Beginners   Mon/Wed     6 p.m.- 6:45 p.m.*   
*Beginners must attend Monday and Wednesday classes.*
Advanced  Mon/Wed     7 p.m.-8 p.m.
Kids Class  Thu     6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
Black Belt  Sat     9 a.m.-10 a.m.
Advanced  Sat     10 a.m.- 11 a.m.
Tournament & Demo Training   Sat 11 a.m.-noon

Marion YMCA 
Min age 5 with parent in class, 6 without. 
The instructor is Steve Griffin (5th Dan Black Belt).  Assistants instructors include Serena Hanson, Robin Brunner and Christopher Ingram, all 2nd Dan Black Belts.
*New students must sign up for a five week orientation.*
Days and Times:
Orientation (Feb & May) Tue/Thu  6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
White-Green Belt    Tue/Thu  6:30 p.m.- 7:30 p.m.
Blue and Above Belt  Tue/Thu  7:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m.
Open Class  Sat 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

Stoney Point YMCA 
Ages 5 and up.
Instructed by Kevin Koenighain (3rd Dan Black Belt) with help from Kathryn Zieser (1st Dan Black Belt)
Days and Times:  
Beginners (White Belts)  Mon/Fri  6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
Intermediate/Advance        Mon/Fri  7 p.m.-8 p.m.
