And don't forget the double gymnasium where so many youth and adult programs happen (current gym schedule)! For a complete list of all programs and classes, check out our most recent Program Guide. The Marion YMCA has locker room facilities for men, women, boys, and girls. While working out, patrons may leave their children at the YMCA Babysitting Service. There are plenty of games and toys for the children to enjoy! Plenty of off-street parking is available.
Let there be light...
Linn County Rural Electric Cooperative, Nelson Electric Co., and Van Meter Industrial Inc. teamed up to make sure the lights didn't go out at the Marion YMCA ball diamond. The three companies donated time and equipment to replace two light poles and lights on the field, which is used for youth t-ball, softball, baseball, and adult flag football. "I just want to thank these great community businesses for going out of their way to help the kids of Marion by keeping the ballfield lit," said Robert E. Carlson, president and CEO of the YMCA of the Cedar Rapids Metropolitan Area. "It's one of the very few remaining lit ball diamonds here for kids. It really is a community resource."
